Bookings for wine tastings are highly advised, though walk-ins are welcome (subject to availability). Bookings for cheese, charcuterie, or our Bordeaux Pantry Experience are essential.

Spring in the Vines

Domaine A is delighted to participate in the annual Spring in the Vines event—October 30 to November 1. As part of this weekend, we invite you to spend a little more time with us.

We begin with a guided tour through the vineyard looking closely at the vines, the site and the decisions that shape each vintage.

Back in the tasting room, we’ll work through a tasting of the Domaine A range and explore the history of the vineyard and the philosophy that has guided us from its earliest days.

This is a shared experience rather than a private tour. Numbers are capped at eight to keep the experience relaxed, personal and comfortable.

Let our team guide you through stories of our vineyard, the wines and the patience behind them. You can also complement your tasting with a cheese board and optional charcuterie add-on.

Wines by the glass

If you know exactly what your palate desires, you can also sit down and watch a leisurely afternoon roll by with some wines by the glass. And if the mood strikes, you can also elect to complement the occasion with a cheese or charcuterie board.

Bordeaux Pantry Tasting Experience

1. Allow 60–90 minutes.
2. Begin with a pre-poured, guided tasting of four guest-selected wines.
3. Choose one bottle from your tasting to share over the full pantry offering — cheese, walnuts and charcuterie.

5. Includes a take-home set of wine tasting cards and a gift per guest.

Founded in 1958 by Italian émigré Claudio Alcorso, Moorilla was among Tasmania’s first vineyards and helped pioneer cool-climate winemaking in Australia. Against advice, Claudio planted the first vines on the banks of the Derwent River, laying the foundations for one of the state’s most influential wine estates.

Today, Moorilla draws fruit from two distinct sites—its historic home overlooking the Derwent and St Matthias in the Tamar Valley—allowing the team to craft wines that reflect Tasmania’s diverse growing regions.
